CASTING DIRECTOR: How do I add a new project or episode in Cast It Systems?

This article guides you through the process of adding a new project to your Cast It Systems account. Whether you are working on a standalone feature or a single episode of a series, the setup starts here.

It is important to note that anything other than a "Series" container is considered a "Project" in the system. This includes individual series episodes.

1. Log in to your account and navigate to the main dashboard.

2. Click the blue Add New Project button.

3. A form will appear. Fill out the required fields (detailed in the section below).

4. Press the blue SAVE button.

5. You should now see the new project or series episode populate the "Projects" page.

   • Note: If you do not see it immediately, try refreshing your page.

To ensure your project is set up correctly, you will need to fill out the following fields:

• Project/Episode Name: The name of the project or the specific episode within a series.

• Studio: Input the studio name if known.

• Network: Input the network name if known.

• Type: Select the type of project (e.g., Feature, Pilot, Episode).

• Budget: The budget of the project or series episode.

• Greenlit: Indicate whether or not the project is greenlit.

• Billing Contact Name: The name of the billing contact. This is necessary to have video capabilities turned on.

• Billing Contact Email: The email of the billing contact. This is necessary to have video capabilities turned on.

Once you have saved your project, a few final steps are required to enable full functionality:

1. If you filled out all of the required information—specifically the billing contact details—someone from the Cast It Systems support team will reach out to you.

2. They will issue or confirm a quote with you.

3. Once you have approved the quote, your video capabilities will be turned on and you are all set to start casting!
