CASTING DIRECTOR: How do I view and sort submissions?

This article explains how Casting Directors can review, filter, and organize talent submissions within a project. Submission management is a vital part of the casting process, allowing you to efficiently review videos, notes, and resumes sent via the Project URL link.

Reviewing Submissions

Once you have logged into Cast It Systems (CIS), follow these steps to access and review talent submissions:

  1. Click into your Project and select the Submissions tab. 
     

  2. Once in the Submissions tab, you can review specific details for each talent using the icons provided:

    • Videos: Click the camera icon to view videos the talent has uploaded.

    • Notes: Click the clapper icon to read notes the talent added with their submission.

    • Resume/IMDB: Click the resume or IMDB icon to view their credentials. (Note: The IMDB icon will only appear if the talent has linked it).

Sorting and Moving Talent

To organize your workspace, you can sort talent by color or move them to specific lists within the project:

  1. Sort by Color: Assign a color to specific talent, and then filter your view by that color to group them visually. 

  2. Move Talent: Select the checkbox in the right corner of the talent's profile card (you can select multiple talent at once to perform bulk actions).

  3. Select the destination to move the talent to:

    • Role List

    • Other Roles

    • Rejected Bin

    • My CastIt Database

    • Junk Submission Bin
